It’s a tricky business

Moving elephant over long distances – also called translocation – takes a lot of planning and preparation. Later this year a translocation will see a family herd of elephant being moved from Maputo Special Reserve to Zinave National Park. This move will give the growing herd more space to thrive as well as revitalise the gene pool of the current elephant population in Zinave.
