Venomous African Snake

Puff adders are often spotted in the early morning and evening, basking on sandy roads enjoying the residual heat. As they have no ears, they rely on sensing vibrations to alert them of danger. Though a slow-moving snake that prefers using camouflage to remain unseen, but if provoked it does possess one of the fastest strikes of all snakes. So, if you do see one, give it a wide berth.
