It’s a tricky and expensive task to move, or translocate, large animals from one part of Africa to another. Yet this is a vital part of rewilding and is one of Peace Parks Foundation’s most ambitious projects. Animals are moved from areas of overpopulation to areas of decimation. By reintroducing wildlife to places where the species once thrived, biodiversity can be restored, which leads to benefits for the animals as well as the area.
