Big rains cause river to swell

The Simalaha Community Conservancy lies bang in the middle of the Zambezi-Chobe flood plain which means that flooding is a common occurrence. This makes life very difficult for the rural communities based here. Drinking water sources can be compromised, pastures waterlogged and access to their homes restricted.
