This week on PeaceParks.TV, SA College for Tourism’s first semester is drawing to a close. Students eagerly apply their newfound skills by setting up catering displays and putting on a fashion show. It is a time to reflect on all they have learned and consider which specialties to pursue.

Morne Knoetze, the food and beverage lecturer at the College’s Hospitality Academy, is impressed by the careful planning and creativity that went into their displays.  This is an opportunity for students to show their ability to manage functions in the hospitality industry.

The college is a nonprofit organisation supported by Peace Parks Foundation. It provides professional training to unemployed men and women from impoverished rural backgrounds, equipping them for skilled positions in the nature-based tourism industry. Stay tuned as we follow their ongoing journey at the SA College for Tourism and visit sactgr.co.za to learn more.
