Simalaha Community Conservancy Scout

Careen is one of the female scouts in Zambia’s Simalaha Community Conservancy whose passion and knowledge for the environment that she works in, never fails to leave us inspired! She first started working as part of the team responsible for maintaining the fences in the conservancy, before going on to become a scout after completing her training at the Chunga Wildlife College.

Now Careen is responsible for looking after and monitoring the wild animals in the sanctuary and the vast experience that she has, remains crucial to keeping our parks safe!
