Fishing is a vital part of community life on the river Zambezi. Many locals ‘fish for the pot’ to feed their families. But overfishing and abandoned nets can be a disaster for wildlife. The Simalaha Fish Team patrols the river, working with local communities to help them fish sustainably. That includes sorting out discarded nets, so that wildlife thrives and there are plenty of fish for the future. Watch to the end to see who’s especially happy that the nets are gone!
