Haul of chainsaws, bows and arrows

Helder Mandlate – ANAC Head of Anti-Poaching in Banhine – shows us how much equipment has been confiscated from poachers. The practice of charcoaling he refers to is the illegal felling of trees to make charcoal, which is then sold on to passing trucks bound for the cities. It is a huge problem around all the parks, especially Banhine and Zinave, so confiscating and destroying the chainsaws is a step towards eradicating this practice.
